Limestone/Marble

Limestone

Formed millions of years ago by sedimentary deposits, limestone offers almost infinite choice. From pure whites through creams and grey to deep blues, they vary widely in their colours, fossil marking and density. Used both indoors and out, this material has many decorative possibilities including carving and tessellating.

Marble
Created by intense heat and pressure, marble is a crystallised form of limestone. Pure Marble is translucent white but local mineral deposits and other natural conditions create unique colour and patterns. Always associated with opulence, polished marble has a luxurious, traditional image. Newer surface treatments such as honing or antiquing can create different looks in contemporary interiors.
